The Oasis Reviews
“We were so grateful to stay at the Saltspring Island Ganges Garden Oasis Guesthouse for a week while we were visiting beautiful Salt Spring. We couldn’t believe the thoughtfulness of Deb, the owner, who went so far above and beyond to make the place absolutely perfect for us, even making sure we had our preferred coffee milks, teas, etc. and adding several sweet touches that made our stay so special. It’s such a lovely place, and the gardens, sauna… are all wonderful. This is the perfect rental in walking to distance to everything in Ganges, for anything from a romantic retreat to a very convenient, quick stay, and we couldn’t recommend it enough.” ~ Chelsea R.
“I recently stayed for 3 nights at the Saltspring Island Ganges Garden Oasis Guesthouse, and it was an incredibly restful experience. The suite itself is spacious, beautifully minimalist (in that you have everything you really need for a few days, and is lovingly, warmly furnished with thoughtful touches) but full of its old character and charm – I loved that those wood floors creaked in places! The back garden keeps you hidden from sight; although you’re so close to everything in the village, you feel as though you’re miles away. The running water in the koi pond was a delicious sound to fall asleep to, as was waking up to it and the birds in the morning. Deb was a kind and generously attentive host – sending a friendly welcome before I arrived, quick to respond to a kitchen-related question, and proactively helpful in general – even though we didn’t actually meet or see each other all weekend. I would highly recommend this lovely place for anyone seeking a quiet + unplugged getaway. I’m looking forward to staying here again on future Salt Spring trips.” ~Amanda H.
